The following EOIs were selected from the pool for validation on 24th August 2011:408 EOIs were selected that had a points total of 140 or above:
347 with job offer
61 without job offer 77 EOIs were selected that had a points total of 100 or more but less than 140, and included points for offers of skilled employment or current skilled jobs in New Zealand. 16 EOIs were selected that had a points total of 130 or more but less than 140, and included 15 points claimed for work experience in an area of absolute skill shortage A total of 501 EOIs representing 1,018 people were therefore selected) Conclusion: Leaving aside the EOIs in areas of Absolute Skills Shortage, only 13% of applicants managed to achieve the selection point without a job offer. Thus, 87% of ordinary applicants needed a job offer to qualify. Clearly, getting a job is of paramount importance to your application, which is where our Jobsearch Programme is best placed to help
