New Zealand changes Young, Adult Children residence requirements

July 9, 2012

"Young Adult Children" between the ages of 18 and 20 will now find it easier to apply for New Zealand residence after the countries recent relaxation of residence requirements.

This recent change in the law will allow Young Adult Children to apply up until the age of 20, even if they are still working in their home country.

In order to be eligible under this scheme you must be single, have no children and be included in your parent’s visa application.

For Young Adult Children aged between 21 and 24 the requirements are a little tougher and they must be able to show that they are financially dependent on their parents.

For families who have older children and may be considering a relocation to New Zealand, this relaxation of laws means there has never been a better time.
