Changes to NZQA Processes

September 11, 2006

The Qualifications Recognition Service (QRS) within the New Zealand Qualifications Authority have actioned a number of changes to their processing of applications for the assessment of overseas qualifications.

A new verification system is now in place. The QRS will still verifiy all applications for teaching in New Zealand (as agreed with the New Zealand Teachers Council). They will also verify a random 10% of all other applications as well as those where they suspect documents may have been altered.

All assessment reports from now on will have an expiry date three years from the issue date.
