The following EOIs were selected from the pool for validation on 21st September 2011:

371 EOIs were selected that had a points total of 140 or above:
312 with job offer
59 without job offer

100 EOIs were selected that had a points total of 100 or more but less than 140, and included points for offers of skilled employment or current skilled jobs in New Zealand.

25 EOIs were selected that had a points total of 130 or more but less than 140, and included 15 points claimed for work experience in an area of absolute skill shortage

A total of 496 EOIs representing 1,021 people were therefore selected)

Conclusion: Leaving aside the EOIs in areas of Absolute Skills Shortage, only 13% of applicants managed to achieve the selection point without a job offer. Thus, 87% of ordinary applicants needed a job offer to qualify. Clearly, getting a job is of paramount importance to your application, which is where our Jobsearch Programme is best placed to help
