These EOIs did not claim points for skilled employment in New Zealand, or for work experience or a qualification in an area of absolute skills shortage. These EOIs were ranked in descending order of points. (A total of 799 EOIs were therefore selected) Conclusion: Leaving aside the EOIs in areas of Absolute Skills Shortage, only 35% of applicants managed to achieve the selection point without a job offer. Thus, 65% of ordinary applicants needed a job offer to qualify. Clearly, getting a job is of paramount importance to your application, which is where our Jobsearch Programme is best placed to help. The next selection will take place on Wednesday 6th May 2009.
