The following EOIs were selected from the pool for validation on 20 April 2011:337 EOIs were selected that had a points total of 140 or above:
295 with job offer
42 without job offer89 EOIs were selected that had a points total of 100 or more but less than 140, and included points for offers of skilled employment or current skilled jobs in New Zealand. 42 EOIs were selected that had a points total of 100 or more but less than 140, and included 15 bonus points for work experience in an area of absolute skill shortage. 50 EOIs were selected that had a points total of 110 or more but less than 140, and included 10 bonus points for work experience in an area of absolute skill shortage. 61 EOIs were selected that had a points total of 120 or more but less than 140, and included 10 points claimed for qualification in an area of absolute skill shortage(A total of 579 EOIs were therefore selected) Conclusion: Leaving aside the EOIs in areas of Absolute Skills Shortage, only 10% of applicants managed to achieve the selection point without a job offer.
