New Zealand Skilled Migrant Category Expression of Interest Selection – 27th July 2011
The following EOIs were selected from the pool for validation on 27th July 2011:491 EOIs were selected that had a points total of 140 or above:
408 with job offer
83 without job offer 102 EOIs were selected that had a points total of 100 or more but less than 140, and included points for offers of skilled employment or current skilled jobs in New Zealand. (A total of 593 EOIs representing 1205 people were therefore selected) Conclusion: Leaving aside the EOIs in areas of Absolute Skills Shortage, only 14% of applicants managed to achieve the selection point without a job offer. Thus, 86% of ordinary applicants needed a job offer to qualify. Clearly, getting a job is of paramount importance to your application, which is where our Jobsearch Programme is best placed to help
