New Zealand Skilled Migrant Category Expression of Interest Selection – 22 February 2012
The following EOIs were selected from the pool for validation on 22 February 2012
446 EOIs were selected that had a points total of 140 or above:
366 with job offer
80 without job offer
104 EOIs were selected that had a points total of 100 or more but less than 140, and included points for offers of skilled employment or current skilled jobs in New Zealand.
A total of 550 EOIs representing 1,099 people were therefore selected
Conclusion: Leaving aside the EOIs in areas of Absolute Skills Shortage, only 15% of applicants managed to achieve the selection point without a job offer. Thus, 85% of ordinary applicants needed a job offer to qualify. Clearly, getting a job is of paramount importance to your application, which is where our Jobsearch Programme is best placed to help
