New South Wales wants Skilled Migrants

November 14, 2012

Have you been considering a move overseas but you aren't really sure how to get started? Well the New South Wales Government has made it a little easier for potential migrants who are looking to move and have a skill which is currently in demand.

In a review of their immigration system, the Government has targeted the healthcare and construction industries, among many others which are in need of new skilled migrants and made them easily accessible for potential migrants who are coming from overseas.

The biggest change has been the range of skills which have moved from the Regional Skilled (489) Visa to also become available on the Skilled-Nominated (190) Visa and are now available for general migration through sponsorship by the New South Wales Government.

Occupations which have made the cut on this list include a variety of healthcare occupation, educational occupations, metal and building trades and tourism and hospitality. Click here to see the full list.

The move will make it easier for potential migrants to apply for a more secure visa without the need to start out in a regional area. It will provide adequate sponsorship from the New South Wales Government meaning that applicants will no longer have to seek sponsorship directly from an employer.

If you have been considering a move Down Under then New South Wales could be the perfect location for your new home.
