British Dream of Moving Abroad

June 27, 2011

New research has revealed that nearly a third of all Brits would give up their current lifestyle to lead an expat lifestyle abroad.

The economic crisis combined with a desire for a better work-life balance and better wages has meant that many British workers are now looking overseas for their new job opportunities.

According to the study, nearly half of current workers between the ages of 18 and 34 could look at relocating overseas within the next decade or so with the most popular choices being in the Asia Pacific region.

One of the countries often targeted as a potential new base is Australia. With its warm climate and seemingly endless beaches, many people are attracted to its vibrant and yet laid back lifestyle.

The current strength of the Australian dollar means that many of the wages are considerably higher in comparison to Britain and lower levels of unemployment means a greater range of job opportunities for potential workers who may be stuck with no room for progression in their current roles.

If you are stuck in a rut at work and are looking for a change of scenery why not consider Australia as your new potential home? For more information on working in Australia contact The Emigration Group today on 01244 321414 (North) or 0207 118 2526 (South).
